SOAH is a closed Facebook group of Arizona homeschool families who wish to share information and connect with each other about opportunities to enrich our children’s home educations in the area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We are also a group that encourages participation academic competitions. The two articles below were written by SOAH admins Kathryn Graunke and Mary Ann Ekstrom for AFHE’s magazine, Homeschool Arizona.
- SOAH – Learning Adventure 2014 An article written for parents of STEM gifted kids with tips on how to develop those talents and incorporate fun STEM learning in the homeschool setting. There is a short summary of different STEM competitions.
- SOAH – Convention Intro 2016 An article filled with real life examples of homeschool families who incorporated STEM competitions into their curriculum. Successes of other homeschool families are highlighted in order to inspire families to get involved.
